a decade of nour

In September 2016, NOUR opened on Crown Street with a simple belief. That Lebanese cooking had far more to give than most of Sydney had tasted. Ten years on, that belief still lights the pass.

"10 years ago, we opened Nour with one simple idea. Not to recreate Lebanese food as people expected it, but to honour its tradition while serving it in a contemporary way. We wanted people to experience the flavours of Lebanon in a way that felt exciting, elegant, and unmistakably Sydney. I'm incredibly proud of the food. I'm even prouder of what Nour has become.” - Ibby Moubadder

From 3 to 13 September, we are marking the decade the only way we know how. Around a full table, with the people who have made these ten years what they are. Here is how we are celebrating.

3RD-13TH SEPTEMBER 2026

In 2016 we opened on Crown Street with the belief that Lebanese cooking had more to give than Sydney had tasted. Four kitchens have shaped NOUR since, each one leaving something behind.

For ten days, Ibrahim Kasif brings the decade back to the table. The Decade of Dishes banquet gathers the plates guests have returned for year after year. Roy Ner's chicken bits shawarma and pumpkin shish barak. Ben Williamson's crispy cauliflower. Paul Farag's woodfired coconut basbousa. Four courses, full of memories, for only 129PP

Sunday 13 September 2026 Ten days, and this is how it ends. The Anniversary Brunch is the send-off, the whole celebration pouring into one long Sunday.

We are closing it the way Lebanese families always have. A long table, food that keeps coming and no reason to rush. The Bearded Bakers join us to finish things the right way, knafeh pulled fresh and served warm. Entertainment filling the room, the sound of a full house, everyone in one place for the last day of the decade.

Seatings from 11am. Brunch from 79PP. Bottomless cocktails to add on for 50PP. One Sunday, one big finish. Come see the decade out with us.
