about the chef

Ibrahim Kasif leads the kitchens at both Henrietta and ESCA’s hatted restaurant, Nour, bringing over two decades of experience from some of Australia’s most acclaimed dining rooms. Formerly the owner and head chef of the hatted Stanbuli, Ibrahim gained recognition for his bold tribute to his Turkish-Cypriot heritage and his inventive approach to Middle Eastern flavours.

At Henrietta, Ibrahim reimagines the charcoal chicken experience with a chef’s precision, balancing vibrant mezze, nourishing share plates and fire-kissed classics. Guided by his belief that “simplicity is an illusion,” he refines tradition through technique and craft — whether it’s perfecting a secret 24-hour marinade, celebrating the flavour of the charcoal, or creating abundant feasts designed to bring people together.
